SMART COCOA INGREDIENTS
Red and Black Cocoa
We use the best supplier of cocoa on the market. They are well-known for their high quality practices and their cocoa is Fair Trade Certified, non-GMO, and gluten and peanut free. Our Smart Cocoa is a blend of red and black cocoa. Red cocoa is higher in fat with a rich, fudgy and robust chocolate flavor. Black cocoa, used more to flavor our blend, is alkalized for less bitterness and a smooth flavor.
Organic Coconut Milk Powder
Most coconut powders contain chemicals and additives to prevent clumping. Our certified, non-GMO, pure and clean-label coconut milk powder is a great source of fiber, iron and medium chain triglycerides and is very low in sugar.
caprylic acid powder
Medium chain triglycerides (MCT's) are powerful fats that have great benefits for the mind and body. Most MCT's do not behave the same as normal (long chain) fats. MCT’s are converted to ketones very quickly and efficiently. Ketones are substances created when the body breaks down fat for energy and are ideal forms of energy for the mitochondria (where energy production happens). Ketones produce fewer free radicals than do sugars and can cross the blood brain barrier to provide instant energy for the brain.
There are four different triglycerides in the MCT family with differing number of carbon (C) molecules: C6, C8, C10 and C12.
